OGSW is a winter season LGBTQ festival intended to bring people together for some fun and PRIDE celebration during the winter months in Ontario.

OGSW is at Blue Mountain Resort, just outside of Collingwood, about 2 hours north of Toronto.  Located somewhat centrally, Blue Montain is Ontario's largest ski resort, and accessible from communities all over southern Ontario. Click here for more info.

NO!!!  OGSW is inclusive of ALL people.  Men or Women.  Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Straight, and everyone else.  OGSW is about celebrating PRIDE during the winter, and bringing the community together for some mid-winter fun.

That's ok.  Not everyone does.  OGSW is about celebrating PRIDE during the winter, and bringing the community together for fun.  Blue Mountain offers a whole slate of other activities to participate in during the day.  Don't like the cold? That's ok too, they have indoor activities to have fun at as well while staying warm.

Avalanche Events is the creator of the OGSW festival.  After investing heavily in the festival for the first couple of years to help get the festival started and off the ground, Avalanche Events has now given ownership and control of the community festival to Pride Ontario.

Avalanche Events is now contracted by Pride Ontario to produce, manage, and maintain many aspects of the festival on their behalf.  Avalanche Events provides many of these services as "in-kind sponsorship" of the festival, and other aspects on a "break-even" basis.  Avalanche Events does not profit from the festival.

The best of both worlds; an event production company with a direct community mandate.  Avalanche Events believes in creating positive events that help build community and promote LGBTQ rights, freedoms, and equality while having fun.

Blue Mountain Resort has a number of lodging options, we reccommend staying in the Village Suites.  Central to everything festival related, it's your easiest access to participate in the festival.  Surrounding Blue Mountain there are a number of other resorts and hotels that are also available.  Or if you live in the area, save some money and stay at home, come out and join us during the day and night.  For more information about accommodations click here.

Neither Avalanche Events nor Pride Ontario is a travel agency.  We cannot sell or resell any travel related product.  Blue Mountain Resort takes care of this for us.

Double check that you've remembered to enter our group code when booking lodging.  Group codes may vary depending on the property you're looking at.  Follow the booking instructions at the bottom of the info page about a particular property on our website.

You don't. The festival does feature many free to attend events, and you can ski/snowboard any time you want with lift ticket.

However, a festival pass is your most cost effective way of attending the OGSW paid events (saving money off door price).  It also gives you additional benefits not available to other festival participants.

Producing a festival requires an immense amount of time, energy and money.  The revenue from festival pass sales comes no where in the same continent of covering the costs of producing the festival, but it helps us provide better quality entertainment and events, and continue to create the festival at all. Your support is very much appreciated.
